SKINCARE VAULT: TREATMENTS

Your treatment step is a perfect opportunity to address issues like redness, inflammation, uneven tone, and any sign of skin aging with effective active ingredients that are soluble in water. The molecule size of serum ingredients is typically smaller, allowing the actives to penetrate and do their work.

There are hundreds of water-based serums to choose from, and most contain the must-have hyaluronic acid alongside other actives like niacinamide and green tea extract. The important things to remember are: make sure you’re getting your antioxidants in the morning to protect from environmental insults (vitamin C is a workhorse!); and incorporate acids/peels/resurfacing serums in the evening (generally not consecutive days), if desired.

Niacinamide is another good-to-have (it’s in the REPAIR Power Step Universal Protection Drops).

Pat treatments in gently.

DON’T use acids/peels/resurfacing serums and retinol on the same day OR consecutive days.
